ANYWAYS
i want a new camera for my photography class and i’m looking at the Canon Rebel (not sure exactly which model yet)
but for people who have this, can you tell me how it is?
1. is it durable?
2. is it easy to use/ figure out?
3. how are the funcions?
4. how is the quality?
5. is this one of the best cameras you’ve gotten? if not which other professional digital cameras were better?
6. do you have to buy a macro lens separatly and how much is it?
7. is this a good professional quality photography camera? (is it good at taking professional looking pictures)
8. does it have a built in editing software?
9. please rate this camera in general.

1. is it durable?
It has a plastic body but it will hold up to general use. Mine got dropped once (not by me!) and survived.
2. is it easy to use/ figure out?
I found it easy to use and learn. Nothing out of the ordinary here.
3. how are the funcions?
They function…don’t really understand what you mean here, sorry!
4. how is the quality?
I made several 20×30 poster prints with mine and they turned out awesome. It produces great images for everyday printing.
5. is this one of the best cameras you’ve gotten? if not which other professional digital cameras were better?
I always say there is no “best” camera. For me personally, yes, because it set a lot of stuff in motion. It was my first DSLR. Learned a LOT on that camera. The “best” part of any camera is the lens in the front, and the person in the back.
6. do you have to buy a macro lens separatly and how much is it?
The kit lens is considered a macro, but for true macro you will likely want a different lens. I don’t know the cost as I never did too much macro work.
7. is this a good professional quality photography camera? (is it good at taking professional looking pictures)
I can only say that mine paid for itself a few times over. I took small jobs with it (portraits/events). It never let me down.
8. does it have a built in editing software?
Bought mine used, so I don’t know. I believe if comes with some Canon editing software, but I’m not sure.
9. please rate this camera in general.
9/10…I had nothing but a positive experience with mine. I learned on it, made money with it…all my intentions were met!
I had the XTI. It you’re going to get a Rebel, then look on craigslist or ebay. You can save a ton buying used and still get a great camera. Most serious people (like me) take care of their camera equipment. The day I sold my XTI it looked like it just came out of the box….it looked that way when I bought it, and I took care of during our 3 years together.
