I need a camera that is 35mm or digital and is manually adjustable for lens aperture and exposure time.?
This is for a beginning photography course and I don’t want to invest a lot of money right now. What make and models will fit this description without breaking the bank?
Recommendations:
Film — Nikon F80 with 50mm lens. About $300 at all major online retailers that sell used (Henry’s, B&H, Adorama).
Why? Does all you want, plus the autofocusing, metering and lens are all pro-grade. And, they are a recent model and not likely to have issues.
Digital — Used Canon 300D, 350D, Nikon D50, or new D40, all with kit lens. From $400-$600 at most large stores.
Why? Best bang for buck in a digital; does what you want and makes pro-quality pics.
