Fall photography w/ Digital camera 2?

*I just do this for a hobby, but just some things I’d like to understand more.
Fujifilm F20 6.3 Megapixel. 3x f=8-24mm 1:2.8-5.0 (using tripod)
What photometry mode is best for taking photos of Fall colors, depending on the types of shots too?
I have:
Multi – (This seems to be default)
Spot – For correct exposure of strong contrasts
(Im thinking this would be best for shots of backlit trees with dark branches and glowing leaves. Or shots of colorful fall lanscapes against a lake and sky)
Average – (Manual recommended default for landscapes)
Also what would be a better AF Mode for this condition:
Center – focusing right at the center
Multi – focusing only on areas of highest contrast
You’re thinking too much which is why you’re confused. Just go out and have fun. Shoot until your heart is content.
Read your manual.
Any mode in theory is fine for taking fall colors. It’s up to you, what you do with those settings on the specific mode you choose, as to how the photos come out.
If you choose, Aperture Priority, then you choose the aperture and the camera chooses the shutter speed. You also choose the ISO and white balance. Same thing but opposite if you were too choose Shutter Priority….you pick your shutter, ISO and white balance. The camera picks the aperture.
If you want to take photos of the fall colors, buy yourself a Polarizing filter. It will bring out the colors.
Spot metering is focusing on a certain spot.
Center is pretty much in the center of the frame.
Average and Multi are pretty much like defaults, you can have either one of those and shoot anything. From landscapes to portraits and the metering will be for the entire frame.
