Digital Photography Ideas Teachers

What are some good ideas to take pictures of apples?

It’s for a photography assignment. So far, I’ve thought of changing lighting conditions, putting them in bizarre locations or something with a nice background, splash shots and close ups. Can anybody give me more ideas that are creative and unique?

Our photography teacher is a really slack teacher and doesn’t teach us anything but expects a lot from us and also considering that most of the level 2′s (already taken photography lvl 1 a year before, there are about 7 of us) are very well experienced other than me so he kinda expects us to know our stuff, so I really wanna show him that I am more than what he thinks of me.

I am also using a digital SLR, a Canon Rebel XT to be specific and i have a zoom lens and a wide zoom lens.

Please help!!

Backlight it to get that nice rim light/ outer glow thing happening.
Core it and put a light on the inside.
Hang up several like a baby’s mobile.
Wrap it in an orange skin and partially “peel” the orange to reveal the apple inside.
