My digital camera is 10 megapixels. what is that like compared to a professional camera?
I have a little digital camera that is 10 megapixels. its a canon. i dont have it on me right now but i will add it in additional details what model it is if its needed as soon as i can.
anyway, i was thinking of buying a professional camera, possibly start takng model photography and stuff like that. i was thinking of getting a decent camera with price range from $500 to $1500 australian dollars.
I dont know the jargon etc that is used when talking about professional cameras, but if someone can kind of compare what the camera i have now is like compared to a decent pro camera in that price range, that would really be appreciated.
what kind of difference in quality could i expect from taking photos with my camera i have now and just gettin a good editing program such as photoshop, compared to one of the pro cameras in that price range?
thanks
You like many others seem to think that a pixel count on a cameras sensor is the end all and be all. This is NOT true.
I have a 6 mp DSLR I use to shoot professional photographs. A 10 mp P&S camera could never be used to shoot professional assignments, unless it was a story on the camera itself and the photos were used to illustrate the images camera can take.
