Digital Photography Lighting Techniques

I am going to buy a couple photography books…?

Hey- I want to become a better photographer, I know quite a bit already- and am soon going to buy my first DSLR– but in the mean-time I wanted to buy some books to learn more techniques and stuff to expand on my knowledge. (I’m more of an enthusiast) I’m in high school… would these books be good for me? Or do you have another suggestion? thanks!

The Peterson books are highly recommended.
