EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens for Canon. Does it have manual focus?
I am a newbie on digital photography. and was wondering…is there manual focus on the kit lens for the Rebel XS?
The manual focus is really what im trying to decide on which kit has that lense with that function.
All of Canon’s kit lenses offer both auto and manual focus. Some of the better lenses have ring-type USM motor that offer “full-time manual focus” capability which means that even when the autofocus system is engaged, you can still focus manually without first putting the lens into manual mode. These USM lenses also focus faster and quieter than non-USM Canon lenses.
