Which camera out of these 6 are the best?
- Nikon D60
- Nikon D80
- Nikon D90
- Nikon D40
- Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi
- Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi
Im really into photography lately and I have a crappy camera so I’m getting a new one!
I really want to make the right choice.
Any of the mentioned is a fine camera. I have a D80, it is of an older generation, the D90 has a newer sensor and will have better high ISO performance. And video, if that is important to you. I would suggest visiting a camera store and handling several models yourself before making a decision.
In the end, they are all tools. You may have a “crappy” camera, but having a nice model does not automatically mean you will make better photographs. So in addition to your new gear, visit the library for a book or two on photography. Plan to thoroughly study your camera manual to get the best from its features. Digital SLRs are complicated devices for newcomers and have a big learning curve. Take a class if possible. Enjoy your new camera and happy shooting!
