How to get into Photography and whats a good camera?
I want to get into Photography and will probably go to some classes but I want to know whats a good but not too expensive digital camera that I can use to take some pictures by my self. I want to be able to adjust the shutter speed and other settings. My family has a digital camera but it’s pretty basic and its not the kind of camera you would use for good quality pictures. I want to probably do Nature pictures but also be able to take pictures of me and my friends when we do tricks and stuff on our bikes so I can get mid air shots. I have been interested in this for a while but never got into it and I want to start doing it. If anyone could just recommend a good started camera, I heard Nikon was good.
Thanks,
Phil
I don’t know of a point and shoot camera that will let you manually adjust the shutter speed. You’ll probably have to get a digital SLR. They start around $600 or so, more if you want a good quality lens. Try the camera out in a store first, don’t just buy it online.
I am just now getting into photography as a hobby. I’m reading everything I can get my hands on about composition and the technical aspects of using a camera. I’m also taking a lot of pictures and looking at them from a different perspective, as well as having a few strangers give me honest critiques. I’ve included some great links at the bottom. Good luck to you!
