Why can’t I use the LCD screen outdoors as a viewfinder? Shading it doesn’t help.?
I can purchase a Canon digital camera with a large 3″ LCD screen with no optical viewfinder but I will have problems viewing outside or I could get a model with a small 2.5″ screen with an optical viewfinder. Both models cost about the same.Will the optical viewfinder enable me to frame my photos outside? I have tried shading the LCD screen on my cell phone but it doesn’t help. I don’t want to get stuck with a camera that I can’t use. I don’t know how people use their laptops out in bright sunlight; to me it’s unwatchable. I would prefer the larger screen for indoor use but most of my photography is done outside in bright sun. Any suggestions? The model with the larger screen is great indoors and is a better buy. What should I do?
