Can I use sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 DGmacro with canon extension tube ef25-2 together?
iam new in digital photography, and iam using canon 450D
The extension tube is designed to be used with EF lenses, so there may not be a chip in the Sigma lens the tube can talk to.
All you can do is go into the camera store with your sigma lens and do the “test” the extension tube is actually made for shorter lenses, so if you have the original EF-S 18-55 mm lens, it will work using that lens for sure and provide the close focus you seem to be after.
In any case, call Canon and ask some one knowledgeable with the actual issues when using third party lenses. 800.OK-CANON
